More than 3.000 exhibits are shown in an indoor and outdoor area of 30.000 sqm.
From the historical tractor, one-wheel-motorcycle, Jan Ulrich's racing bicycle to locomotives, oldtimers, self-playing organs and racing cars. From a Mercedes collection, a Maybach collection, to airplanes you can actually go into, the Tupolev 144 and Concorde − there is nothing missing here. Also in the outdoor area, there is a military-historical exhibition where the use of former military vehicles after the end of the war is shown. Historical trucks, spectacular special vehicles or frame saws operated by water energy: This is the combination of technology and history at its best!
The museum is not far from Heidelberg, however, the entrance fee is relatively high (children up to 14 years 9 Euro for museums only) − but a visit is a dream for all those who enjoy the ingenuity of technology and are prepared to let themselves be fascinated by it. With 8 guests participating in a tour, the driving costs are very low!
After a visit to the museum it might be a good idea to make a sidetrip to the Steinsberg Castle near Sinsheim-Weiler.
